Emily Fahrenbach joined Engelman Berger in late 2010 after graduating cum laude from New England School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts. During law school, Ms. Fahrenbach worked as an extern in the Office of the Prosecutor of the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal located in The Hague. Emily assisted with the prosecution of the former Chief of General Staff of the Yugoslav Army, the highest ranking military official to go on trial from the former Yugoslav Army. Ms. Fahrenbach additionally served as an intern for the Massachusetts Attorney General's office in the Medicaid Fraud Division.
Ms. Fahrenbach was a Comment and Note Editor on the New England Journal on Criminal and Civil Confinement, and participated in the Journal’s Community Outreach Program at the Suffolk County Jail. She served as a mentor to first year students, and received the New England Scholar and C.A.L.I. awards as recognition for her academic achievement.
Prior to law school, Ms. Fahrenbach worked for three years in Portland, Oregon in the asset management and compliance sectors of an affordable housing corporation. She assisted the owner in the resolution of ongoing construction defect litigation and settlement negotiations.
Ms. Fahrenbach graduated from the University of Oregon in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies and a minor in Political Science. While an undergraduate, Emily attended the University of Uppsala in Uppsala, Sweden to study the integration of the Scandinavian states into the European Monetary Union. She was recognized by membership in Phi Beta Kappa for her academic performance.
