Scott B. Cohen Joins Engelman Berger as Partner.

(Phoenix, Arizona) Phoenix-based commercial law firm Engelman Berger announces the addition of Scott B. Cohen as partner. Mr. Cohen brings over 15 years of experience in resolving commercial disputes, reorganizing troubled companies, and enforcing debtor and creditor rights, both in federal and state court. Mr. Cohen joins the already substantial debtor-creditor and bankruptcy practice at Engelman Berger. “We are delighted that Scott joins us with his experience, practical outlook, and great sense of humor,” says Steven Berger, a founding partner.

Mr. Cohen focuses on handling bankruptcy litigation, reorganization, creditors’ rights, lending and financial services, and commercial litigation. Mr. Cohen is Board Certified by the American Board of Certification in Business Bankruptcy, AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell®, a member of the Maricopa County Bar Association, Arizona State Bar Association, California Bar Association, Arizona Bankers Association, Turnaround Management Association, and American Bankruptcy Institute. Author of numerous articles on bankruptcy and creditor rights, Scott is also Contributing Editor to Norton’s Bankruptcy Law and Practice (3rd Edition) and was recently voted Southwest Super

Hailing from Lincoln, Nebraska, Scott received his law degree from the University of Iowa College of Law, where he was a member of the Iowa Law Review. He has been an active board member of the Council for Jews with Special Needs, the American Jewish Committee, and is President of the Pardes Jewish Day School.
